Pam graduated in 1991 from AUT, NZ with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Since then she have pursuit extensive post graduate study, including Masters of Sports Physiotherapy from La Trobe University in Melbourne; Master of Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture), RMIT, Melbourne; Master of Animal Studies (Physiotherapy), UQ, Brisbane.
Pam has advance qualifications in sports taping and Kineso taping, as well as advance qualifications in Pilates rehabilitation, with experience in teaching matwork, equipment, and rehabilitation Pilates classes. Pam has done many professional development courses concerned with the treatment of painful backs and necks, and overuse injuries, in particular McKenzie and Mulligan principles of assessment and treatment.
Pam uses both traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture as well as dry needling techniques and is a member of AACMA and registered with the Chinese Medicine registration Board as a recognised Acupuncturist. Pam also has memberships with the Australian and New Zealand Physiotherapy Associations and has extensive experience with managing sports injuries and sports rehabilitation at all levels of sport in both NZ and Australia.
Pam has over 20 years of experience in private practice and have worked with elite athletes in rugby union, gymnastic, and Ballet. Most of Pam's work has been in Private practice, but she has worked in cardiothoracic and orthopaedic rehabilitation, especially patients pre and post operations in hospitals. Pam operates both at our Limestone Street practice as well as our branch in Fernvale Village, inside Health Matters Fernvale.
